SR-1: Each student must carry his/her school diary and identity card to school every day. SR-2: Every student should affix his/her photograph and write the required information, duly signed by a parent, in the space provided for in the school diary provided to him/her. SR-3: Students who come to school on their own should reach the school at least five minutes before School timings. SR-4: Students are not allowed to bring mobile phone to school. If they do so, it will be confiscated and disciplinary action will follow. SR-5: Students should be habitually clean and always neatly dressed. The school uniform should be worn on all working days and for all school functions. Students who are slovenly dressed or not in uniform will be sent home. Use of hair gel is not allowed. SR-6: All boys (except sikhs) must keep their hair short. Girls must tie their hair neatly with band & puff. SR-7: Non-Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals. Sikh boys must wear turbans in Class IX and above. A patka may be worn only while playing games. SR-8: No books (other than text books or library books), magazines or paper should be brought to the school. SR-9: Lending or borrowing of money or other articles is not allowed.
    Students who come to school escorted should never leave before the escort arrives. In case of delay, they should report to the school office.
SR-10: Parents and guardians may meet the teachers during the specified time. SR-11: Students are not allowed to use the school telephone without the permission of the Principal. They will not be called to answer phone calls during class hours. SR-12: Students using the school bus will maintain discipline in the bus. SR-13: The school does not permit the celebration of birthdays or festivals on the school campus or hostel campus. Parents are advised not to send sweets etc. to children for celebration of birthdays. Exchange of gifts is not allowed. SR-14: The school insists on the following measures to be observed by the members of staff and all students. Care must be taken to observe the “green rules” in order to maintain clean, green surroundings. That is, school premises will not be littered with disposable tumblers, papers or polythene bags. Polythene bags are banned in Himachal and we are not an exception to it. SR-15: Do not spoil or pluck flowers. SR-16: Students are expected to respect school property. No student should damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls, desks, almirahs or in any way damage things belonging to others. Any school property damaged even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher or to the Vice-Principal or the Principal. SR-17: HIS students should invariably be polite wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet their teachers when they meet them. Bullying and use of foul language are punishable offences. SR-18: Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instruments such as knives etc. or any kind of object that can cause injury to others in the school. SR-19: Students are advised to keep their classroom, school buildings and campus as clean as possible, and throw leftovers into the dustbins. SR-20: The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles (like expensive watches or fountain pens) to school. SR-21: HPS provides education from 1st to Class XII. Therefore, it is expected that the juniors be treated with love and affection, while the juniors show all respect to their seniors. There should be perfect harmony between the day scholars and boarders. SR-22: Fees can be paid by cheque and cash. The cheque should be payable at all branches of the bank, and the bank should have a branch at Patna(Bihar). SR-23: No student shall indulge in any of the following practices, namely: SR-24:
  • Writing on the shirts or uniform or bag.
  • Spitting in or near the school building.
  • Smoking.
  • Any form of gambling.
  • Use of drugs or intoxicants.
  • Rowdyism and rude behaviour.
  • Use of violence in any form.
  • Casteism, communalism or untouchability in any form.
  • Bursting crackers or throwing colour on one another/or painting faces within the school premises.
  • Under no condition is a student permitted to bring a mobile telephone to the school.
SR-24: Students are not allowed to keep any type of beard/fashionable look. SR-25: Students should not join other students in violent, destructive activities. Students will not instigate other co-students or juniors to indulge in any misbehaviour or any form of anti-school activity which will bring disrepute to the school and could spoil the career of the concerned student. SR-26: Students will not boycott the orders, directions and instructions given to them by the school authorities. SR-27: Students using unfair means during examination will face disciplinary action as decided by the school authorities. SR-28: A student will not cooperate or indulge in any act of violence committed by other students which will harm any student physically or mentally. SR-29: Students will not do anything to disturb the principles and norms of school discipline. SR-30: Students shall not bring tobacco, alcohol or any other unauthorised item to the school. SR-31: Students are expected to behave well in public and represent the school with pride. SR-32: Bullying is banned. No one is permitted to subject any other student to any kind of ill-treatment, either physical or mental. There is a continuous effort to instil a high moral behaviour into the students. Should any child persist with any antisocial act, he/she will be liable to serious disciplinary action, including expulsion / withdrawal, as deemed fit by the Principal. SR-33: Any child involved in any immoral act is liable to be expelled without warning, and there will be no reconsideration whatsoever. There will be no refund of fee in such cases. Furthermore, Principal or the disciplinary committee may not assign any reason for doing so. SR-34: Students are not permitted to possess any sordid reading / viewing material. SR-35: No student is permitted to buy, sell or exchange goods or lend or borrow money from each other or from the staff. Nor are they allowed to do so with any outsider especially when they go on outings from the school. SR-36: Ragging of any kind is severely punishable and may lead to expulsion from the institute. As such, students are advised not to indulge in any such activity. SR-37: The school prides itself on its high standards of discipline and code of conduct. It expects its students to adhere to the code for : SR-38:
  • personal hygiene, attendance and punctuality.
  • behaviour, good manners, language and conduct.
  • respect for others, for the school, its property and image.
Students must strictly observe the following:
  • They are not allowed to wear any kind of studs or rings on the eye brows, chin, ears, nose etc.
  • Students are not allowed to wear low waste trousers or narrow bottom trousers.
  • No bracelets, fancy pendants or amulets are to be worn by the students.
  • Students (boys) must keep their hair short.
SR-39: Any application for attending marriages, functions or any other events during the school term will not he entertained, unless it pertains to the parents or siblings. Written permission in this regard must be obtained in time. No telephonic messages will be accepted in this regard. SR-40Fee Deposits and Advances: i. Fee has to be deposited within the stipulated period. ii. Payment of fee and other dues should be made only to the fee clerk on the fee counter and proper receipt should be obtained for any payment made. iii. Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of Principal, Himalayan Public School Bataganj (Bihar) Out station cheque payable at all branches of the bank are accepted. iv. Except for the routine payments and charges notified by the Principal, no additional payment should be made without a circular from the Principal. For any deposit contrary to this, school will not be responsible. v. Advance payment if any should be got sanctioned by the Principal. SR-41: No student should use eye kajal, lip guard, nail paint, ear rings, studs etc. in the school or hostel or during excursions, tours etc.
